background
Milwaukee
has long been an unlikely home to some of the world's best practitioners
of Eskrima, and that reputation can only grow with the addition of a new
member to the Milwaukee Filipino community.
Instructor: Jenny Noval
Jenny Noval, 22, moved to Milwaukee in August 2006. Jenny's quiet demeanor and modest nature might hide the fact that she is exceptionally accomplished for such a young woman; she has no fewer than seven world titles in Eskrima, representing the Philippines until 2002 and the United States since then.
Jenny is the daughter of Master Juanito Noval, originally from Mambaling,
Cebu City, who now heads the Doce Pares Eskrima school in Sacramento, California.
This gives her an impressive Martial Arts pedigree, as Master "Nito"
and Jenny were personally instructed by the Grandmaster of the entire Doce
Pares Multi-Style system, GM Dionisio Cañete.
Jenny joins the staff of Four Winds Martial Arts, headed by Grandmaster Tom Sipin, teaching adult and children in Eskrima and cardio kickboxing.
In addition, Jenny is also a renown WEKAF competitor. Her accomplishments include:
