background
Justin
Lemke is quite possibly one of the most experienced competitors to emerge
from Four Winds, having a background in Mixed Martial Arts, he is no stranger
to competition.
Instructor: Justin Lemke
Justin has been active in the Martial Arts for more than ten years, and has been teaching for just nearly seven years. He presently works as a Fire Fighter in Milwaukee and has also served in the recent past as a Law Enforcement officer.
The role of Martial Arts
"At
fourteen, I was quickly becoming what now is commonly referred to as a high-risk
youth. It was during this time, with the encouragement of my older brother,
that I joined Four Winds. Although there were many events in my life that
compelled me to change my ways, there is no doubt in my mind that the Martial
Arts training played a key roll."
A greater appreciation
"While
at Four Winds, I have had the opportunity to travel to different countries
and states, and learn from Masters and Grandmasters of various arts. At
Four Winds there is an open state of mind that greatly appeals to me now
as an experienced Martial Artist. Not only have I come to appreciate the
Martial Art that I myself practice, but I have also learned to appreciate
the value of all Martial Arts and realize all are good in some way, shape
or form."
