programs, John Corro challenges our students phyiscally and mentally.
Instructor: John Corro
John Corro began training in the Martial Arts in 1987 at age 10. He received his black belt in Tae Kwon Do at age 14, and his 2nd degree black belt at 17, in 1994.
In addition
to Tae Kwon Do, John has a great deal of ring experience, including wrestling,
Brazilian Jiujitsu, MMA and Kickboxing. Some of his Martial Arts accomplisments
include:
- 1996 - Ranked #2 Lightweight in US in WEKAF Single Stick Sparring
- 1996 - Ranked #5 Lightweight in World in WEKAF Single Stick Sparring
- 1997 - Began fighting in Muay Thai
- 1998 - Ranked #4 Super-Lightweight in US in Muay Thai
Outside of the Martial Arts, John is an accomplished athlete, having participated in numerous Triathlons.
- June 2003: Janesville Sprint Distance Triathlon Finisher (.25 mi swim, 18 mi bike, 3.1 mi run)
- July 2003: Pewaukee Olympic Distance Triathlon Finisher (.9 mi swim, 26 mi bike, 6.2 mi run)
- September 2004: Madison Ironman Triathlon Finisher (2.4 mi swim, 112 mi bike, 26 mi run)
- June 2005: YMCA Kenosha Sprint Distance Triathlon Finisher, Male 21-30 Division Winner (.25 mi swim, 16 mi bike, 2 mi run)
