background
"Teaching small children requires infinite patience and the ability to strike a chord with each individual student. The reward is in the smiles of both the children and their parents."
Instructor: Ben Schultz
Ben Schultz is one of the instructors for our Lil' Dragon & Advanced Lil' Dragon programs.
While studying in college, Ben also founded an Escrima club at Winona State University taught the Martial Art to interested students and faculty.
Starting Young
"My father introduced me to Martial Arts when I was 6. My problem was that I was growing too fast and I had poor coordination."
"Martial
Arts offered individualized training that helped me among other things to
walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. Most of all, it gave me self-confidence.
It taught me that the study of Martial Arts isn't about beating someone
up. Rather, it's about being prepared for all of life's challenges."
Ben holds a 3rd degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 1st degree Black belt in Doce Pares Escrima. Some of Ben's other accomplishments and titles include being a 1998 National Champion in Stickfighting and a member of US Team for the 1998 World Championships
